Times have been manic, with lots of events and parties but Christmas is nearly here. Although I have managed to squeeze in a little time to do some Television work. Last week I filmed a piece with the hit scripted reality show The Only Way is Essex.
I am pleased to say I will be appearing in the Christmas special broadcast this Tuesday, 20th December, on ITV 2 at 10pm. Have a watch and hopefully you will spot me! It was great fun to film, even if it was a little chilly! Keep in touch with me during the programme via twitter @kierandjones
Another highlight of the last two weeks has to be attending the Red Bull F1 Xmas Party, at Silverstone. Amazing party in which I was a mad hatter, mingling amongst people including famous racing drivers. The final surprise for the crowd was a performance by Jamiroquai!
December is coming ...
Tuesday, 29 November 2011 20:29
Yes December is coming and dare I even say it Christmas is nearing. I have received my first Christmas card, had a mince pie, heard an xmas song on the radio and at the weekend even had my first Christmas dinner.
I haven’t had time to start sorting things, or even thought about it been manic with work! It doesn’t feel particularly festive to me yet, but maybe that’s because I am not doing panto this year.
The last two weekends I have been up in freezing Skegness performing at the UK’s largest indoor musical festival, The Big Reunion. Working with Area 51, it was great fun and everyone did a brilliant job! I was a range of characters including Mario, Darth Vader and a lego man, on stage with artists including Pendulum, Tim Westwood and Chase and Status.
The next few weeks are also going to be very busy both with gigs booked and also preparing for filming the next series of 24 Hours in A&E in my other life.
Oh yes, and I also have to sort out all the extra Christmas stuff! Offcourse you can find out more about what I am up to by following me @kierandjones
Summer is over
Sunday, 23 October 2011 15:34
With it darkening and the worsening weather summer is well and truly over and winter is setting in. I have just got back from a nice holiday in Turkey, which was very sunny. I had a great time doing jet skiing, parasailing, quad biking and even had a go in the mud baths.
It was a busy summer, including as I mentioned in an earlier blog post being filmed for a BBC Documentary. Unfortunately, despite numerous days of being filmed, I can now confirm I will not be in the finished programme. This is due to apparently my story being too different to everyone else’s and hard to fit in. I still look forward to seeing the documentary which is now due to be broadcast in November on BBC 2 called ‘Short Work’.
In other news I have now started work as a TV Researcher at the Garden Production, on the Channel 4 Production Traineeship. I am enjoying it so far and working on lots of exciting projects. You will be able to see my TV Production Credits soon on my website, so keep an eye out.
I will still be doing some acting work alongside although due to my commitments will not appearing in panto this year. It looks like it’s going to be a busy month still and you can find out what I am up to here, or follow me on twitter @kierandjones
Exciting Film News
Thursday, 04 August 2011 11:43
I am now pleased to confirm that I have been cast to play the role of Brian in the forthcoming film ‘Invasion of the Not Quite Dead’. It’s a black comedy zombie horror based on a UK island were a deadly virus has been released.
It looks like a great film and I am very pleased to be involved. I enjoyed meeting AD Lane and Steve who are behind it, both great guys, and I can’t wait to get started.
Brian is a good part and the manager of the petrol station in the film. But what makes it different is the film is 100% fan funded, so check out their website. You can even buy a package to help support the film.
It’s due to start being filmed early next year and will then be released. So keep checking back here for more information.
My Film Debut and Graduation
Monday, 18 July 2011 12:22
So last Friday Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 was officially released here, in which I make my film debut as a goblin! The film has already broken UK box office records, making £23 million in its first weekend!
I went to see it with my Mum and Brother at the Imax in Birmingham. Great film and I really enjoyed it. You can try and spot me in this feature from the film in which I appear.
I really enjoyed the experience and hope to be able to work on more films in the very near future.
Meanwhile the same day the film was released I officially graduated with a BA (Hons) Broadcast Journalism 2:1 from Staffordshire University.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my three years of University and have had some great experiences along with meeting some brilliant people. I hope the skills and knowledge I have gained will set me up well for my career.
The weather was lovely for the ceremony, which was held at the Trentham Estate. A stunning setting, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. It rounded off a great few years at University nicely.
My Graduation was filmed as part of a BBC Documentary, so keep an eye out here for further details!
